Valentines Popcorn Party Box

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, you might be trying to think of fun activities to do with the kids. A movie night with themed popcorn can be an easy low prep activity. I created a fun Valentines Popcorn Party Box perfect for a Valentine’s Day movie night. The popcorn box is a good size, large enough to keep kids from quickly coming back for a refill. All you needs is a printer, glue stick, scissors, popcorn and a movie of your choice. If you don’t have a color printer or would like to make this a craft activity, you can also print the box in black and white, color by hand and then put it together.

Supplies:

How I put together the Valentines Popcorn Party Box

Step 1

First, using my color printer, I printed out two copies of the Valentines Popcorn Party box Printable. I printed on card stock, for a stronger container, but you can also use regular printer paper. I also printed the box in color, but again you can also print in black and white for a craft activity and color by hand. Once printed, I cut out the box, making sure to only cut around the black solid border.

Step 2

I folded along all dotted lines and flipped each piece so that the patterned sides face down. At this point, all the tabs should be folded where you can see them, as shown in the picture below.

Step 3

I pasted the right part of the Valentines Popcorn Party Box onto the left side, as show below. Next, I folded the Paste Here tabs upward and folded the blank tabs downward, as show below. Followed by flipping the whole things over so that the pattern side faced up.

Step 4

Next, I folded the box in half so that the opening was on the left side. Then, I added glue to the Paste Here tab and pressed the two sides together to connect the box.

Step 5

After the above steps, I opened up the Valentines Popcorn Party Box and faced it scalloped side down.

Step 6

Next, I added glue to the bottom corners of the blank tab and connected the tab to the Paste Here tabs. I repeated the process for the other blank tab. See below for images.

Step 7

I flipped the box over and pressed the inside to give the glue a better hold.

Step 8

Lastly, I popped some popcorn and filled up the Valentines Popcorn Party Box. The only thing left to do was to find a good movie! Enjoy your Valentine’s Day!

Notes:

If you are having trouble with the box coming together, make sure that you align the side tab properly when gluing it to the left side of the Valentines Popcorn Party Box. Revisit step 3. If the tab is not glued at the right angle, you might have an issue with it fitting together properly.
